Founded in the heart of Tampa, Rick’s Electrical has been a beacon of reliability and trust for nearly three decades.

Growing up, my dad Richard Thomas Magill, Jr. helped people. He did home and air conditioning repairs and appliance work to provide for our family. Watching him lend his hands and talents to people through honest service at prices they could afford was the best training I could have ever received. It’s no wonder that the hours and jobs I spent working alongside him would help me build the foundation for what would eventually become Rick’s Electrical, Inc.

Journeyman/Electrician

Requirements: Valid certifications

Salary: $26-$35/per hour

A Journeyman/Electrician is a skilled tradesperson who has completed an apprenticeship and is fully trained in electrical work, capable of installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial settings. Must have a valid driver’s license and proper tools including battery-operated tools.

Mechanic

Salary: $22-26/per hour

A Mechanic Level electrician will have more on-the-job experience with knowledge in electrical installation, maintenance, repair and will oversee apprentice-level candidates. Must have a valid driver’s license and proper tools including battery-operated tools.

Helper

Salary: $16-$22/per hour

A Helper assists licensed electricians with electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs, performing tasks like carrying materials, preparing work areas, and assisting with basic electrical tasks under the guidance of an electrician. Must have a valid driver’s license and proper tools including battery-operated tools.

Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
(valid after completing the 90-day probation period)

Rick’s Electrical contributes $200 towards your monthly health insurance premium.
Monthly premiums are based on age (health, dental and vision insurance is deducted from your weekly paycheck).

Vacation Time (valid after six (6) months of employment) Vacation time starts accruing after six months. Employees earn one (1) day per month within the first year. (Valid after a one year)

Vacation Benefits Include:

Electricians – Two (2) weeks of vacation time Four (4) sick days (must present a Doctor’s note)
Mechanics – One (1) week of vacation time Two (2) sick days (must present a Doctor’s note)
Helpers – One (1) week of vacation time No sick days
